The FITsplint includes 5 ReCORE exercises to get you started. The full 6 week ReCORE program is available separately.

Because of the flexible yet supportive material, the FITsplint does not restrict breathing patterns or range of motion. Some post natal wraps are too tall or too stiff for proper fitting and comfort and provide excessive support and unnecessary restrictive motion to the spine. The FITsplint is purposely shorter to fit inbetween the ribs and hip bones and more effectively pull the outer abs close together without too much compression. The FITsplint has 2 straps and is fully adjustable meaning you will get a secure and proper fit that you need. It is also flexible so you can move through a proper range of motion (stiff supports are for back injuries) The FITsplint's unique design allows material to crossover (splint) without the material overlapping.

Women who are immediately postpartum (within 3 months) or women within 2 years postpartum that have abdominal separation 2 fingerwidths or larger can benefit from using the FITsplint 4-6 weeks while reconditioning their core (ReCORE). By doing both, women provide the best environment for tissue to shorten and strengthen. Correct abdominal exercises help strengthen the core and increase blood flow to the tissue as well. The FITsplint is used temporarily postpartum to help support, splint and load the stretched out muscles and tissue. Splinting is beneficial when used correctly with progressive corrective exercise.

Not sure what size will fit you immediately postpartum? Our recommendation is to wait until you deliver and then measure or buy a size LARGER than your typical (non-pregnant) waist size. If you typically are a post-small, get a post-med to fit right after delivery.

A snug fit is sufficient! The FITsplint does not need to be pulled extremely tight to be effective. Pulling too tight can make the material roll easier, it can also interfere with breathing patterns. You should be able to take normal breaths with the FITsplint on.

Yes! Hospitals often give out an abdominal support after c-section. It helps provide support to the abdominal wall as it heals. It should not irritate your scar. The FITsplint can be worn above the scar. It can be worn within a day of delivery as well but always check with your doctor for their recommendation.

Go with the smaller size, especially if you are newly postpartum

I'm not impressed. It doesn't stay put. I have an umbilical hernia, so I need support over my belly button, bit it constantly splits open right at the belly button, or slides down or slides up or the back bunches up and digs into me. No matter how tight or loose I make it it bunches and slides it of place

We're sorry to hear your experience. We do recommend reaching out to us via email to troubleshoot fitting issues. Sometimes dry skin can affect how well the support stays in place as well as sizing.

I have used the postnatal splint+ maternity splint for my last two pregnancies, as recommended by my physical therapist due to an abdominal hernia that made needing support more essential. These offer amazing support for any needs throughout pregnancy, and postpartum. I recently ordered another maternity splint as I'm in my surprise 4th pregnancy. They accidentally sent me a Postnatal splint- immediately corrected the mistake, and sent the maternity one out, and let me keep the postnatal free of charge. A great company, with great customer service, bringing focus to an area of women's health that is so desperately needed! Thank you ReCORE!

I am so very thrilled with my postnatal FITsplint, that I had to stop by and thank you for your amazing design! Also for the fast shipping! ;) I had tried every other type of splint I could find or make for diastasis recti, but this is IT!!! I LOVE the stretchy but firm fabric, and how it DOESN'T MOVE even when I'm wrangling a sweet wiggly baby boy, or tossing around trying to get comfy in bed! :) I'm so excited about your business and will be promoting the FITsplint as much as I can! :) Can't wait to try the pregnancy FITsplint whenever I have another baby! I feel SO blessed to have found your site...THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK TO HELP MOMS!
