"How to wear Maternity FITsplint"
“Just wore mine for the first time today for my first long walk at 29 weeks. I am big already and should have started moving more earlier on through my pregnancy. I wondered and really hoped it would make a difference wearing it. It was everything! So comfortable, didn’t move at all, the material is so comfortable and was so easy to adjust. I kept thinking about and just being so pleased with how comfortable it was and how much better I felt just walking than I have thus far... I should have started wearing it sooner! I love it and highly recommend it. Thank you!” -@azlindamay (Instagram)
“You definitely need to check out the @recorefitness FITsplint! It has been a game changer for me. I’m ~36 weeks and downhills on trail adventures without it are so uncomfortable and it feels like a lot of strain on my back and pelvic joint… it helps a ton with bladder pressure, and keeps me from feeling like my core is straining to hold everything in when I workout. Cant recomend enough!” -@bacrunner4646
"I just had to share how extremely happy I am I found your product. As an active pregnant runner (or any pregnant mom), this item is a MUST HAVE! After ordering another brand and hating it, I returned it and order a FITsplint. It arrived today and I am in love with the fit and feel already. This thing feels so good, I might wear it all the time!!! Thank you...I just had to share!"

"I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby and was experiencing sciatica pain for about 6 weeks. I tried yoga and chiropractic care and, although those helped alleviate the pain somewhat, I was still in pain throughout the day. Then I found the FITsplint and within one day of wearing it, my sciatic pain was reduced by about 85%. And now that I’ve been using it for almost a week, I’d say it’s close to 100% better. I would highly recommend the FITsplint!”

"I used the Maternity FITsplint during the last 8 weeks of my 3rd trimester and remember thinking it probably wouldn't do much to help me in anyway. I was shocked after the first day when I took it off before bed and felt the entire weight of my belly... the splint had supported it all day and made such a huge difference! I highly recommend it for anyone who is pregnant - whether they exercise during the pregnancy or not!"

I ordered my FITsplint in August and started wearing it the day I received it! I was 6 1/2 months pregnant and I was struggling with continuing to run due to low back pain and the increased weight of my baby belly. With the FITsplint, I was able to run into my 7th month of pregnancy and continue walking up to 3 miles even past my due date! I don't know that I would have been able to be as active without the extra support and added comfort of the FITsplint! I even wore it as I continued working as a Certified Athletic Trainer when I covered High School and College athletic events. It definitely helped when I needed to get out on the field or court to an injured player quickly! Our baby girl came 11 days late, and I started wearing the FITsplint after she was born."

"When I found out I was expecting twins, one of my concerns was how my body was going to carry the weight of not only one but two babies. I knew immediately that I would need something to support my back and my growing belly. A lot of the other support belts I found were stiff, bulky and downright uncomfortable. When I tried on the FITsplint, I felt the difference immediately. The material is soft, flexible and stretches for a perfect fit - not thick and bulky like other support belts. I found the FITsplint to be very helpful in relieving my back pain during the pregnancy and used it up until I delivered at 38 weeks. I would definitely recommend this product to other moms. Thanks so much Celeste! I'm so happy I found you on the internet. Using the [Maternity] FITsplint throughout my pregnancy helped me protect my abs and feel more stable as I exercised. After finishing ReCORE at 10 weeks post partum, my abs look and feel stronger. I feel more confident returning to exercising the correct way!"

"I just got my Maternity FITsplint in the mail today! I instantly tried it on--and I was SO shocked at how COMFY this thing is!! Full support with full mobility--I didn't know that was possible! Good job designing this thing Celeste! Im looking forward to my healing during this pregnancy :):):)" - Katrina
"I would recommend the FITsplint maternity belt by MomBod Fitness for running. I began using it as 20 weeks and feel almost naked if I forget to put it on before leaving the house for a run! It was $50, but well worth the price." - kseltzer, myfitnesspal.com
"I have this one: http://www.mombodfitness.com/fitsplint-maternity.html and it has been exceptional for helping me. it has made a huge difference. I wore a 10 pre-preg and ordered a medium. It's very adjustable and I liked that it had two options for wearing. I found it more supportive to have one band high and one band low. At 36 weeks, I want both bands low so that I don't have to pee every 5 minutes at the gym, though.
Doc also recommended it for ligament pain, which it helped a TON with!"

IN BETWEEN SIZES? Go with the larger size, it will still adjust smaller as needed
How is the Maternity FITsplint different from other maternity supports?
The FITsplint's unique design allows for the 2 straps to separate if desired to provide more belly support during motion. The straps can both be worn down low for more back or belly support. As you crossover the 2 straps, you can gently "lift" the belly for more bladder relief. The FITsplint is fully adjustable so you can get the proper secure fit that you need.
Can I use the Maternity FITsplint post-partum or is it best to order a Maternity FITsplint and a post-partum splint? Yes you can wear the Maternity FITsplint post-partum, it will just wrap around the back. Some women may not need the Maternity FITsplint, but all moms can benefit from wearing the FITsplint Post-partum, so we sell it in smaller sizes.
Is this Maternity FITsplint just for pregnant exercisers?
No, not at all. This is a maternity support for any pregnant woman who wants general back, ligament or bladder support. The unique design and material make it easy for exercisers to get the proper support they need as well. The FITsplint is used by physical therapists to help with sciatic pain, pelvic girdle pain and back pain.
I'm pregnant and have always been fairly athletic, I'm pretty sure my abs are strong enough to carry a baby, why would I need the Maternity FITsplint?
When a mom runs while pregnant (4+ months), there is increased belly motion. Stabilizing this motion can help reduce the stress on the connective tissue, bladder and back. Wearing a support will reduce the stress loads and provide a smoother gait. The FITsplint is also used to by physical therapists to help with sciatic pain, pelvic girdle pain and back pain.
No matter how strong a woman's core muscles are, they lose the ability to work at 100% while stretched out during pregnancy. Muscles will be stressed when running with a larger belly. Having a strong stable core is very important during pregnancy to help moms recover well afterwards and reduce the risk of injury and diastasis recti.
How often should I wear the Maternity FITsplint?
It will depend on the wearer. It is recommended to wear anytime after 4+ months until delivery. Some women wear it just for proper support during exercise, some wear it to reduce the stress on the back during the day. Some wear it to help relieve pressure off the bladder, muscles or ligaments. Wear as often as needed.
Why is your material flexible?
The FITsplint material is more flexible than most supports to provide the right amount of support while still allowing the core muscles to do the work! The FITsplint is worn to help decrease the extra weight and stress put on the ligaments and joints. Exercises should still be done during pregnancy to keep the core strong and prepare the body for delivery. Exercises, proper body mechanics, alignment and support can all help keep you strong and symptom free during pregnancy.
My FITsplint isn't staying in place as well as it did before. Dry skin can affect the silicone. It is recommended to keep the skin moisturized or wipe the silicone with a damp cloth as needed.
